Learning Japanese (and Italian) - Greetings - Lesson 19.7103

Last Year (2008), during a party in London, I met two wonderful guys (friends of friends) who would have soon become very good friends of mine :)

All started between few glasses of lovely red wine. I was introduced to these two great Japanese guys by my Italian friend.

Since then we have been trying to do language exchange, but because of our limited time first, and their departure then… we had the chance to have just few lessons – and I have to admit that I can’t remember very much… sorry guys :\

Above their lovely honest friendship, one of the best gift they gave to me is a lovely Japanese phrasebook that K. bought for me directly in Japan (during a trip back to his Country).

Since then I met M. & K. again in London (last time was just few months ago).

M. & K. can speak very good Italian, and I was persuaded by them to learn Japanese (actually I really love Japan and I have always wanted to learn Japanese, but so far never got the proper time to do that).

I was grown up with Japanese cartoons as most of my Italian friends (have a look at one of my playlists on youtube, is plenty of videos about these lovely cartoons), and on the top of it I have a huge passion for technology… and Japan and Japanese people are really good at this :)

So this brief introduction should let you understand why I finally decided to use properly the phrasebook that K. & M. gave to me, and commit in learning Japanese.

I am not aiming to speak proper Japanese in few weeks, but I will commit in learning at least some basic Japanese conversations (words first of all) starting from the Japanese Greetings.

I will share my learning with all of you and hope that these posts will be helpful also for other Japan/Japanese lovers (and Italian lovers as well… as you can easily understand from the lesson number 1) :)

Before I start, I would love to thank once again M. & K. for their lovely friendship and I am really looking forward to see you guys soon in Japan :) Ciao :)

Arigatoo gozaimas :)
