I was struggling in order to find a good bargain for a taxi from London to Heathrow Airport (picking up my friend) and coming back to London.
I phoned 10s of companies and what I found out is that prices are amazingly different.
Most of the “taxi companies” that I called asked for a price in the range of 75 – 100 pounds (plus additional money for parking and waiting time in the Airport).
One of them (really nice on the phone), asked for a very good price, ALL INCLUSIVE.
The taxi driver will come to pick me up from my flat in London, take me to Heathrow Airport, waiting for me and my friend (up to 1 hour), and then will take us back to London in my flat for a total price of 50 pounds.
This company is Airport Despatch (strongly recommended).

Terrible service!!!!!! I booked a taxi from this firm to take me from my address in london to heathrow.
The car never showed up even after getting emails confirming my booking and despite calling the office and asking where my taxi was,i was meet with abuse from a very rude staff who wasnt helpful and very rude.
I finally got them to send another taxi to me and 35 minutes after my arranged booking time the taxi arrived and didnt know the way to the airport and hardly spoke a word of english.
AVOID THIS COMPANY,,,,thats my advise to anyone with sense!

I am sorry to hear your bad experience, but honestly speaking these guys with me have been fantastic.
All the service was perfect, from the first call till my last trip with them.
I can’t complain at all, and also the taxi driver was extremely nice and helpful.
They have always been on time, and despie some traffic they took me to the airport at the right time that we agreed.
I will definitely book with them again cause I had a very very very good service.
And the price is very good as well… on average is half price compared to the other companies in the market… and their cars are very nice (at least the one that they sent to me).
I will definitely recommend them.

I am the director of Airport Despatch and i believe the post by Philip Sumata is a hoax by some of our competitors. 1. we have never missed a booking since our launch. 2. i am sure that the customer would have complained direct to our company. 3. I monitor all calls and my staff are excellent, never rude, and are very experienced. If we did make a mistake, we would be apologising not being rude.
I invite Philip Sumata to contact me regarding the complaint if this was genuine. I will post an update in the future if i do not hear from Philip Sumata.
Following on from my previous post. Philip Sumata has not contacted me, therefore i stand by my previous post and reiterate that the post by P.Sumata is a hoax by a jealous competitor.
I have used a taxi service in London called Prompt Airport Cars London Airport Transfers based in London and they have many years experience in airport/cruise port transfers. All drivers are professionals with many years driving experience are polite, courteous and helpful and the cars are under 3 years old, air conditioned, clean. They carry a mobile phone at all times. Their booking data is fully computerised to ensure they offer a reliable service.
